jgflan Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 I've just taken ownership of a used 57 Reg Galaxy 2.0 GHIA. As its pre-March '08 it doesnt have the Bluetooth/Voice Control as standard. SO now I want to either enable or install a bluetooth kit. Is the car bluetooth ready or is it possible at all to install a bluetooth kit so as the phone comes through the radio speakers etc. Alternatively is a stand-alone system my only option. Sorry if I sound a bit ignorant when it comes to all of this but the fact is I am! Help. Quote

Help.Hi jgflan Sorry I cannot help you with the question to weather your car can do bluetooth, but if notyou can use a system called "Parrot" system, which plugs into the back of the radio, andthe sound comes through the radio speakers(it also mutes the radio, while on a call) dead easy to fit(if you know what to do) the hardist bit is getting the radio out, but if you canget a local radio shop to pull it out, it just connect the plugs, or the radio shop can fit them. The one I have is the CK3100 and I can recomend them (we have two, one in each car) butthere is a couple of models but the 3100's are about Quote
brian1 Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 Hi jgflanI have also taken delivery of a 57 reg 2.0 ghia and after extensive and painful talks with my dealer who had conflicting reports wheather it was possible or not, I finally established that my Sony ICE although it has all the buttons on board that it is actually impossible (or impractable)to install the Ford bluetooth as it involves changing modules etc. which in my case the dealer could not even get the towbar programed properly.Although I have not done anything yet I would go alone with RADIOTWO as it appears that the "parrot" system appears to be the one unfortunately. Look forward to your comments Brian1 Quote
